Chengde Daily sticks with QIPC automation

Oosterhout, September 2016 – The printing plant of the China-based Chengde Daily will once again be equipping its new press with automation solutions from Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC). The Dutch specialist in measurement and control equipment for the printing industry is to install the mRC-3D system for colour register on its Beiren 40A printing press.

Based to the north-east of the Chinese capital Beijing, the most important reason for Chengde Daily to opt for the Dutch specialist's products was their favourable experience with QIPC systems in the past. “They explicitly asked Beiren if their new press could be fitted with our system”, explains Paul Yu, managing director of QIPC-EAE China. At Chengde Daily they know what to expect from the new system. “The old one had already been saving them huge amounts in terms of waste and time. They expect the new system to do exactly the same.”

In total four mRC-3D cameras will be installed on two towers and a folder of the Beiren 40A which will automate colour register on the press. The cameras are fitted with optional Automatic Ink Mist Shields (AIMS) for cleaning the lenses.
