Oosterhout, March 2012
- Q.I. Press Controls, the leading supplier of innovative,
high quality optical measure and control systems appoints a new Area
Director Asia. The growing number of users of Q.I. Press Controls’
automated solutions for increasing efficiency of printing quality on
web-offset presses in Asia gave rise to the need for this new regional
position. Q.I. Press Controls’ markets in China, India, south-east Asia
and Australasia are developing so well that experienced regional
management was needed. They have found it in the experienced Job van
Hasselt.
Van Hasselt gained extensive experience in the Asian
region were he set his first professional steps in Singapore in 1972 for
manroland. After that he made the transition to Bobst Group, were he
held the position of Managing Director Asia Pacifie, which included the
start up of their factory in Shanghai and several reorganisations in
Japan and South-East Asia. The past three years Van Hasselt again joint
manroland as CEO in South-East Asia. For many years he has been living
and working in his operating area he will now continue with the same
positive energy for Q.I. Press Controls. He is used to empathising with
the needs and working methods of businesses in this region. Just as easy
he will be travelling to Q.I. Press Controls’ market areas, with
offices and agencies in Chine, India, Australia/New Zealand and Japan.
He does this from his operational base in Singapore. He will report to
Jaco Bleijenberg, Q.I. Press Controls’ Director of International Sales
& Marketing.
Van Hasselt’s extensive experience also means he gained a
lot of knowledge about offset printing, offset standardisation and the
economic pivoting point of web-offset printing. In other words: a career
in which his graphical knowledge and business experience will support
Q.I. Press Controls’ product portfolio at a high level. He views it as a
big challenge to help out graphic entrepreneurs and turning their
investments into a success. In his own words: “I will very much enjoy
working for Q.I. Press Controls, to optimise the market acceptance for
their high-tech systems. I’m looking forward to it. During this
transitional period, the printing industry has to increasingly prove
itself towards the new media/Internet. Q.I. Press Controls’ automated
quality systems have arrived to support the web-offset production
workflow and to maximise efficiency at a crucial time. A wonderful
challenge!”
Van
Hasselt has also gained a lot of new knowledge about the products in
Q.I. Press Controls’ development centre in Oosterhout. On top of that,
he visited and analysed prominent reference sites. He is ready for it,
and has been working on the web-offset printing market since 26 March
2012. Q.I. Press Controls’ management is happy with Van Hasselt’s
arrival on the Asian market, a very important market to the company.
Q.I. Press Controls’ management: “We’re extremely pleased with Van
Hasselt’s appointment: the right man, in the right place at the right
time!”
