Total value of QIPC-EAE orders rises to €6.3 million in the second week of Drupa

Düsseldorf/Oosterhout, July 2016 - The second week of Drupa 2016 proved even more successful than the first for Q.I. Press Controls - Engineering Automation Electronics (QIPC-EAE). The specialist in automation for the printing industry added 6.3 million Euros to its order books during the 11-day Düsseldorf-based event, trebling the 2 million Euros in orders that had been taken in the first week. And, it's likely that even more orders will follow, says QIPC-EAE chairman, Menno Jansen.

Menno Jansen is delighted by the course of events at what is the most important trade show for the printing industry. “In fact, it's beyond our wildest dreams. It's clear that the printing industry is enjoying a renaissance at the moment: the print media are alive and kicking. The impulses are not just commercial ones - in the newspaper industry too, the investment climate is improving.” QIPC-EAE's man in charge was delighted to welcome so many visitors to the stand. “Our sales team had an incredibly busy time answering the questions of interested visitors. It was demanding, but hard work pays off in the end."

During the final week of Drupa 2016, QIPC received orders from Gulf News, Dubai, for an mRC-3D system for colour and cut-off register on its manroland CROMOMAN; from Merkur Zeitungsdruck AG, Switzerland, for an mRC-3D for colour and cut-off register and an IDS-3D colour control; and from Mittelrhein-Verlag, Germany, for a colour register, fan-out and cut-off register control. “And I can also tell you that the largest order still has to be revealed because our client has requested we make no media announcements for the time being”, adds Menno Jansen. “What's more, requests keep flooding in for our new IBS-100 and Desk 7.0 products. Our sales staff will be following up all these leads as and when they can.”

Not only did QIPC receive the necessary orders: at EAE too, several upgrade orders were placed for existing systems. This includes one from Maroc Soir S.a. based in Casablanca, Morocco. During the first week of Drupa 2016, QIPC had already taken orders from Israel Today, Rotativos Patagonia from Argentinia and Sanmarg Pvt from India. Also during the first week, EAE received an order from German-based Funke Medien.
