Oosterhout, mayo 2010
                 - For the first time in ten years a new commercial printer will make a
start-up in the UK. Grapho Media based in Deeside is an independent
commercial web printer which will focus on commercial, press finished
and sheeted jobs. Q.I. Press Controls will support the new printer by
installing their closed loop colour control solution (Intelligent
Density System) and mRC+ with register marks to automatically control
both colour and cut-off and ribbon register on the company’s first
press, a Komori press consisting of 8 units and 2 webs.

Grapho Media has been established by former Graphoprint personnel. The
company has received backing from the Welsh Assembly Government. They
hope to expand to 24 employees within a year. The production will start
in June. All of Grapho Media’s directors and the directors at QI and
Gämmerler (QIPC’s agent for the UK & Ireland, who was closely
involved in the coming about of this order) have considerable expertise
in the printing industry. “We want to create a very lean business that
is totally customer focused, bringing speed to the market for our
customers,” states Andy Edwards, Manufacturing Director of Grapho Media.
“The solutions of Q.I. Press Controls will contribute in realizing our
goals in terms of producing most effectively and efficiently with regard
 to costs and quality.”
“It quite a venture to start a new commercial printing company at
this time,” states Erik van Holten, Chairman Q.I. Press Controls. “We
are pleased that we can support them by offering our extensive expertise
in press automation. Our solutions will make sure their printing jobs
will reach the best possible quality in a very short period of time at
very low waste figures. This will fit Grapho Media’s strategy to be lean
 and quick perfectly.”
